Before I was D. LipShus, The Alligator of Amour, I was a mere toiler at "Book Sales" a Xerox copy/used book store in suburban Washington, D.C., College Park, MD., Route 1 under the tutelage of one L.R. Fox--poet, visionair, recruiter into the Grand Game of Life! Lots of interesting characters and fun times.
Besides dancing, we included walking L.R.'s dog Alfred as one of our job duties.
Dee Dee and L.R. tripping the light fandango. [That hat w/plastic liquor bottles on it once belonged to fellow Book Saler (who helped me get the job) Cathy Ayers' father.]

Xerox Corp used to treat us to their sky box at the big arena & we got to see Bob Dylan in October 1978! Niiice.
L.R. dubbed me "D.LipShus" a.k.a. just plain ole "Lips" across the street from the Italian Gardens where we used to see Danny Gatton play with Liz Meyer & The Flyers
